A key component of the curriculum is the development of essential clinical skills and procedures. Students receive hands-on training in performing physical examinations, suturing, venipuncture, and other procedures commonly encountered in clinical practice. Under the guidance of experienced faculty, students practice these skills in simulated environments and later apply them during their clinical rotations.
Clinical Rotations
The clinical rotations component of the West Coast University PA Program in Texas provides students with invaluable real-world experience in a variety of healthcare settings. These rotations allow students to apply their knowledge and skills in different specialties, enhance their clinical reasoning abilities, and develop their professional identities as PAs.
