Faculty-Led Research
The faculty members of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Nursing Program are actively involved in research in various areas of nursing. They engage in research projects that address current healthcare challenges, explore innovative nursing interventions, and contribute to the advancement of nursing science. Students have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty members on these research projects, gaining firsthand experience in the research process.
Working on research projects allows students to develop their research skills, including literature review, data collection and analysis, and dissemination of findings. Students learn how to critically evaluate research studies, apply research findings to nursing practice, and contribute to the evidence base of nursing. These research opportunities enhance students’ understanding of the research process and foster a spirit of inquiry and lifelong learning.
Student Research Projects
In addition to faculty-led research, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Nursing Program encourages students to engage in their own research projects. Under the guidance of faculty mentors, students can design and implement research studies that explore topics of interest to them. This hands-on research experience allows students to deepen their understanding of nursing research and make significant contributions to the field.
