One of the highlights of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Nursing Program is its extensive clinical experiences. Students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health centers. These clinical rotations provide invaluable practical experience and allow students to apply their theoretical knowledge in real patient care scenarios.
Varied Clinical Rotations
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Nursing Program offers a wide range of clinical rotation opportunities to expose students to diverse patient populations and healthcare settings. During their clinical rotations, students may have the opportunity to work in medical-surgical units, intensive care units, pediatric units, maternity wards, mental health facilities, and community health centers. This variety of clinical experiences enables students to develop a broad understanding of different areas of nursing practice and prepares them to work in various healthcare settings upon graduation.
Each clinical rotation is carefully selected to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience. Students have the opportunity to care for patients with a variety of medical conditions, observe different nursing interventions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
