Clinical Rotations and Simulations
In addition to classroom-based learning, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Nursing Program places a strong emphasis on hands-on experience through clinical rotations and simulations. During their clinical rotations, students have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in real healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, and community health centers. Under the guidance of experienced nurses, students gain practical skills and develop their critical thinking abilities as they care for patients.
The program also utilizes state-of-the-art simulation labs, where students can practice their clinical skills in a safe and controlled environment. Interprofessional Education
Nursing is a collaborative profession, and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Nursing Program recognizes the importance of interprofessional education. Through interprofessional education initiatives, nursing students have the opportunity to collaborate with students from other healthcare disciplines, such as medicine, pharmacy, and social work.
