Research Laboratory
In addition to the pharmacy practice lab, Regis University Pharmacy houses a research laboratory where students can engage in scientific inquiry and contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical knowledge. Under the guidance of faculty researchers, students have the opportunity to design and conduct their own research projects, exploring topics such as drug discovery, pharmacogenomics, and medication safety.
Experiential Learning Opportunities
Regis University Pharmacy recognizes the importance of experiential learning in pharmacy education. Through partnerships with various healthcare organizations, students have the opportunity to gain real-world experience through internships, rotations, and clinical placements.
Community Pharmacy Rotations
During their time at Regis University Pharmacy, students participate in community pharmacy rotations where they work under the guidance of experienced pharmacists in retail pharmacy settings. These rotations provide students with exposure to various aspects of community pharmacy practice, including medication dispensing, patient counseling, and over-the-counter medication recommendations. Through these rotations, students develop their communication skills, learn about medication management in the community, and gain insights into the business side of pharmacy.
