Hospital Settings
The Middle Georgia State University Nursing Program partners with various hospitals and healthcare systems to provide students with diverse clinical experiences. Students have the opportunity to rotate through different hospital units, such as medical-surgical, critical care, maternity, and pediatrics. These rotations expose students to the complexities of patient care in acute care settings and allow them to develop essential nursing skills under the supervision of experienced nurses.
Community Health Organizations
In addition to hospital settings, Middle Georgia State University nursing students have the opportunity to engage in clinical rotations at community health organizations. These rotations expose students to the unique challenges and opportunities of nursing in the community. Students may work with public health departments, home health agencies, or non-profit organizations that serve vulnerable populations. Through these experiences, students learn to assess community needs, promote health and wellness, and provide care in non-traditional settings.
