Clinical Practice and Simulation
The clinical practice component of the Master’s Degree in Midwifery program provides students with hands-on experience in a variety of clinical settings. Students will complete rotations in hospitals, birth centers, and community clinics, gaining experience in all aspects of midwifery care.
Clinical rotations are designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the role of the midwife. Students will work with experienced midwives to provide care to women throughout the childbearing year, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in research projects and quality improvement initiatives.
Simulation and Technology
Simulation and technology are increasingly being used to enhance clinical training in midwifery. Simulation allows students to practice skills in a safe and controlled environment before performing them on actual patients. Technology can also be used to provide students with access to real-time data and information, which can help them make better decisions about patient care.
