Real-World Experience
During their clinical rotations, students in the Ultrasound Program gain valuable real-world experience in different healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers. Under the supervision of licensed sonographers, students perform ultrasound examinations on actual patients, honing their technical skills and developing their interpersonal abilities. This hands-on experience not only strengthens their proficiency but also provides them with insight into the daily responsibilities of a diagnostic medical sonographer.
Certification and Licensure
Upon successful completion of Keiser University’s Ultrasound Program, students are well-prepared to pursue certification and licensure in diagnostic medical sonography. Certification provides professionals with a recognized credential that validates their competence in the field.
Certification Options
There are several certification options available for diagnostic medical sonographers, including those offered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
