Clinical Rotations
One of the highlights of the Howard University PA Program is its extensive clinical rotation experiences. These rotations allow students to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world healthcare settings, working alongside experienced healthcare professionals. The program collaborates with a wide range of clinical sites, including hospitals, clinics, and specialty practices, providing students with exposure to diverse patient populations and medical specialties.
During their clinical rotations, students have the opportunity to work in various areas such as family medicine, internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, and psychiatry. Under the supervision of preceptors, students actively participate in patient care, perform physical examinations, develop treatment plans, and refine their diagnostic skills.
