Global Health Initiatives
With the increasing importance of global health, Howard University encourages students to engage in international experiences. The program offers various global health initiatives that allow students to broaden their perspectives, gain cultural competence, and contribute to healthcare efforts in underserved communities around the world.
International Rotations
Howard University PA Program provides opportunities for students to participate in international clinical rotations. These rotations allow students to experience healthcare systems in different countries, observe unique medical practices, and gain exposure to a diverse range of medical conditions. It also provides an opportunity to understand the cultural, social, and economic factors that influence healthcare delivery globally.
Medical Mission Trips
The program organizes medical mission trips to underserved communities, both domestically and internationally. These trips provide students with the opportunity to deliver healthcare services to populations in need. Working alongside faculty and other healthcare professionals, students gain hands-on experience in providing medical care and addressing health disparities. These experiences foster compassion, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to serving marginalized communities.
