Field Experiences
Field experiences are a crucial component of the M.Ed. program in Elementary Education at FSU. Throughout their studies, students will have opportunities to observe and participate in real classroom settings, working closely with experienced teachers and students.
These field experiences provide students with valuable hands-on learning opportunities, allowing them to apply the knowledge and strategies learned in their coursework. By observing effective teaching practices and interacting with students, students gain practical skills and a deeper understanding of the classroom dynamics.
Licensure Requirements
Upon completion of the M.Ed. program in Elementary Education, students are eligible for licensure as elementary school teachers in the state of North Carolina. To obtain licensure, students must meet certain requirements, including passing the appropriate licensure exams and completing a teaching internship.
