Under the supervision of preceptors, students will have the chance to assess and treat patients, develop care plans, and gain practical experience in their chosen specialty. These clinical experiences help students develop clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills necessary for advanced nursing practice.
Certification Opportunities
FSU’s MSN program prepares students for various nursing certifications, depending on their chosen track. For example, students in the family nurse practitioner track may pursue certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), while those in the nurse educator track may pursue certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE).
Obtaining certification demonstrates a high level of expertise and can enhance career prospects and earning potential. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in their certification exams and supports them throughout the certification process.
