There are three main types of CSUN scholarships:
Merit-Based Scholarships
Merit-based scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement. These scholarships are highly competitive and typically have strict eligibility requirements, such as a high GPA, standardized test scores, and a strong extracurricular record.
- President’s Scholars Program: This prestigious scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen with exceptional academic achievements and leadership potential.
- Dean’s List Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher each semester.
- University Honors Program Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students who are accepted into the University Honors Program, which provides opportunities for advanced coursework and research.
Need-Based Scholarships
Need-based scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate financial need. These scholarships are typically based on the student’s family income, assets, and other financial circumstances.
