Clinical Rotations
One of the highlights of Baylor University’s Nurse Midwifery Program is its emphasis on clinical experience. Students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a variety of clinical settings, working alongside experienced nurse midwives and other healthcare professionals.
During their clinical rotations, students gain hands-on experience in providing midwifery care to women across the lifespan. They have the opportunity to assist with prenatal visits, attend births, provide postpartum care, and offer gynecological services. These clinical experiences are invaluable in building confidence, developing clinical skills, and establishing professional relationships.
Research Opportunities
Baylor University’s Nurse Midwifery Program recognizes the importance of research and its contribution to evidence-based practice. The program offers various research opportunities for students to engage in scholarly activities and contribute to the advancement of midwifery knowledge.
