Admission Requirements
Baylor University’s Nurse Midwifery Program has a competitive admission process to ensure that students are well-prepared for the rigorous curriculum. Prospective students must meet the following requirements:
1. Educational Prerequisites
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution. A strong academic background in nursing is preferred, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
2. Licensure and Experience
Applicants must hold a current, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license in the state where clinical experiences will take place. Additionally, a minimum of one year of recent clinical experience as an RN is required.
