By participating in ongoing research projects, students gain firsthand experience in research methodologies, data collection, analysis, and interpretation. They also develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the research process and its impact on evidence-based practice.
Independent Research
Students in the Nurse Midwifery Program have the opportunity to pursue independent research projects under the guidance of a faculty mentor. This option allows students to explore their own research interests and contribute to the knowledge base in a specific area of midwifery.
Engaging in independent research enables students to develop skills in project management, literature review, data collection, and dissemination of findings. It also provides a platform for students to showcase their research abilities and make meaningful contributions to the field.
